stories of community, food, education, healing and more.

being in relationship with the stories and the storytellers is central to many of our paths and life missions during this historical and cosmic moment.

for me, stories show up as they have for many for generations - as a way through hard times. as medicine.

in traditional curanderismo, healing susto involves retrieving fragmented pieces of the soul and making it whole again. for some reason, this powerful teaching made me think about the power of storytelling, history/ourstory, and writing as tools to gather the fragmented pieces and make something whole again.

this led me to ask:

  • how can the oral and written word serve as tools to heal communities & humanity on a larger scale?

  • how can we use stories to heal collective historical traumas? what is already being done? what can we do?

  • all of my storytelling projects and a lot of my professional endeavors to date are in service to these wonderings.

“…stories are living entities that emerge from and move things in the world.”
